WELCOME TO IT FACTOR DANCE ACADEMY FAMILY
DISCOVER THE ART OF DANCE

THE HEART BEHIND IT FACTOR
KELLYE JOHNSON, OWNER, ARTISTIC DIRECTOR, AND DIRECTOR OF THE COLLECTIVE
Kellye Johnson is the founder and heart behind It Factor Dance Academy, a place where passion, artistry, and excellence come together. Her journey with dance began at the incredibly young age of 2 years old, and has been teaching for 8 years, and from the very beginning, it was clear that dance was not just something she did — it was part of who she was.
Over the years, Kellye trained across a wide range of genres including jazz, drill, contemporary, ballet, modern, hip hop, and more, allowing her to develop a deep and versatile understanding of movement and expression. She is currently earning her degree in Kinesiology and Education with a minor in Dance, blending her love for the body, learning, and the art of dance. Her training continued at TJC’s Dance Department, Southern Belle Drill team, through numerous dance conventions, and even in professional classes taken in New York City, where she drew inspiration from some of the dance world's most vibrant artists.
In 2025, Kellye brought her lifelong dream to life by opening It Factor Dance Academy. Her vision was to create more than a studio — she wanted to build a space where dancers could discover not just their technique, but their artistry, discipline, and leadership, and most importantly, learn to set the standard for themselves and others.
Kellye’s teaching philosophy is grounded in her belief that dance is a vehicle for growth, confidence, and community. Her greatest joy comes from seeing her students evolve — not only as dancers but as empowered individuals who carry their strength beyond the studio walls.
At It Factor Dance Academy, every dancer becomes part of a family that moves with purpose, supports one another, and leads with excellence. Under Kellye’s direction, the studio continues to inspire the next generation of artists and leaders — one step at a time.

About Reagan
Reagan is from Tyler, Texas. She has been dancing since age 2, with a small background in competitive all star cheerleading. She spent her senior year dancing on Tyler Legacy’s Southern Belles Drill Team, followed by serving two years as a 75th line member of the Tyler Junior College Apache Belles. Reagan recently graduated from Sam Houston State University with her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology, minor in Victim studies. Her favorite styles of dance are jazz, pro-style/pom, and lyrical.

Amara Durbrow is a proud graduate of Tyler Legacy High School, where she was a dedicated member of the Southern Belles. Her time on the team instilled in her a strong foundation in commitment, leadership, responsibility, and resilience. Her passion for dance deepened as she discovered a love for improvisation and choreography. That creative spark led her to begin assisting teachers, choreographing routines, and eventually stepping into a teaching role herself. After just one year, Amara took on more responsibilities-assisting classes, teaching, and later becoming the gymnastics instructor at her studio. Through this journey, she discovered her true passion: sharing her love of dance and helping students grow in both skill and confidence.
Amara is thrilled to be part of this team and looks forward to a year full of inspiration, encouragement, and positivity. She can't wait to see all that this studio and its dancers will accomplish together!

In addition to performing. Madison has assisted with choreography, supported classes as a student leader, and gained behind-the-scenes experience by editing music for performances-demonstrating her well-rounded dedication to the art of dance.
